Day 2

OMG!
What a gr8 day!Now as i think back, with my stomach full of all kinds of kababs along with bread&butter pudding, i tell myself: THIS is what i call a vacation. Well today started off with a late awakening, followed by a cuppa coffee. An hour of peaceful reading of Matthew Reilly followed. (Correction: The book is called "The 6 sacred stones"). Then we headed down for breakfast, which as usual rocked! We had planned to go to Khufri today and after that visit the main town of Shimla too. So Khufri it was!!
It was gr8. The road that led up to it was quite empty, making the drive very enjoyable. This place is situated at quite a heigth, and 'twaz really fun to drive up the steep slope. There were a lot of places to visit there...A huge park, yak rides [i took pity on the yak, and didn't try it :) ] and a small peaceful temple. I especially loved the temle.
We left Khufri around 2 in the afternoon and went hunting for a restaurant to have some food. Unfortunately, we found one only after 45 min, by which time we were ravenous. After having lunch we headed toward Shimla.
We reached Shimla by 3:15 and headed toward Mall road, the main shopping street, completely pedestrianised. We had to take a lift to get to the mall road. It was really fun! We had to change lifts on the way too!
Now, I pretty much dislike shopping, so i guess my opinion on this account won't be accurate. So i won't write much about this part. There are a lot many shops on this road, which had like three levels. I bought a book, Holy Blood Holy Grail. Hope it's good. I also bought a sweater. My parents bought many things too, but you have to forgive me for not keeping an account of that. While coming back i had a cool burger at a bakery (now this part, i enjoyed!).
After all this we were all quite tired. It was almost 7:30 and we decided to head back to the hotel.
The drive in the darkness was cool too!
After returning to the hotel, we learnt that a barbeque was on. Forgetting all our exhaustion, we just freshened and headed up to the lawns for the barbeque. And i swear, they were the best kababs i've eaten in a looooong while!! Both veg and non-veg were availabe, and around four tyes in each platter. Yumm!! Lovely!!
After that treat we headed back to our rooms for half an hour, before heading to dinner. Already full from the kababs, we had a light dinner. I had lots of dessert though. It was so delectable!
Well, now back in the room, i guess i'll take my leave. Nothing's much is planned for tomorrow. We just think we'll hand around the hotel and maybe go for a walk in the evening. Well, lets hope that goes superbly too, just like today!!Adios!
